February 24, 2022 became a “black day” for the whole of Europe, and our country woke up to a completely new reality in which the Russian Federation insidiously attacked Ukraine for no good reason, destroying our cities and brutally killing civilians. More than a million Ukrainian women and children were forced to flee their homes to escape the shelling and bombing. The war waged by the Russian Federation against a peaceful country in the heart of Europe has forever changed the decades-old world order.

Despite the acts of unjustified unprecedented aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, operatively formed territorial defense units bravely and without hesitation perform their primary duty to protect the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine. They are an army of strong and courageous defenders who are ready to defend their native state to the last breath. Our soldiers are an example of indomitable spirit, devotion and faith in the native state, in its future. They, the glorious descendants of the heroic Cossacks, are now guarding the security not only of Ukraine but of the whole of Europe.

In this difficult time for every Ukrainian, we express our sincere gratitude to our partners for their help and support, which are extremely necessary and important for us. After all, by condemning the aggressor and acknowledging the inadmissibility of his actions against Ukraine, you are standing side by side with us in the struggle for independence. We believe that Ukraine will soon turn this dramatic page of its history and start a new chapter in which there will be no place for wars and inhuman cruelty, and peace will reign in Ukrainian homes.
